Favorite Things

Do you have a favorite thing?  An obsession that occupies your mind often?  I have a few favorite things...I love boots, jewelry and makeup.  Fragrances are also at the top of the list.  I ADORE my dog!  And believe it or not, I love and collect dragonflies!  My interest in dragonflies began a few years ago, and since then, I've managed to collect several pieces of dragonfly treasures. "The main symbolisms of the dragonfly are renewal, positive force and the power of life in general.  Dragonflies can also be a symbol of the sense of self that comes with maturity. Also, as a creature of the wind, the dragonfly frequently represents change.  And as a dragonfly lives a short life, it knows it must live its life to the fullest with the short time it has – which is a lesson for all of us".  (courtesy of http://www.dragonfly-site.com/meaning-symbolize.html).  I enjoy surrounding myself with this beautiful symbol as a reminder to embrace life and the change that comes with it. Think today about some of your favorite things and why you love and enjoy them.

  1. The dragonfly has been my heart's joy since I was small. They always land on my hair and make everyone around me smile. Fave things? hmmm... this blog now hee hee, and definitely P.G. Wodehouse's little funny books, berre's brothers streusel cake coffee packets, sunshine through the snow, my four children's rosy cheeks as they come in from the Wisconsin winter and aqua paint and glitter. Random, yes, but, light me up they do. This was fun. Thanks for the beauty and creating such fantastic jewelry!!!!!!! Blessings and light, Amy

  2. Ohhh...thank you so much for making my day! I'm relatively new to this outlet and it brings me such enjoyment. I also think connecting with special and positive individuals, like you, make it all worthwhile. Your writing is a very special gift! Wisconsin? I'm in Illinois but originally from GA. Tough to get used to these winters, but the snow is so lovely!
